Visualization shows the prescriber rates and deaths over time for the selected state compared to the national average. The bottom visualization is a radar chart showing which factors (age, race, drug type) contribute the most to deaths.

Description
This project explored data related to opioids, in an effort to better understand and get more insight into the opioid epidemic. The domain problem was for a researcher wanting to explore the connection between prescriber rates of opioid prescriptions and opioid related deaths both in the country as a whole and drilling down to the state level.
The first part we looked at was data on prescribers. This data allows the researcher to see the distribution of opioids across the US and also find the most commonly prescribed opioids. The second part of the data involved finding information about deaths that occurred from opioid overdoses in the United States. This allows the researcher to drill down to the state level. We also categorized these deaths into different types of groups such as race and age. This would help identify the groups that are suffering from opioid addiction, and allow researchers to provide information about where issues needs to be addressed the most to combat the opioid epidemic.
